Welcome from the Executive Artistic Director & President of the Board

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our 41st season, a year filled with magnificent music, riotous comedy, compelling drama, and festive merriment!

As my first full season planned for the cultural icon that is Oklahoma Shakespeare, I felt a tremendous responsibility in selecting the titles presented this season, and I hope you will enjoy the journey.

Thank you for being part of this historic season, and for supporting Oklahoma’s Classical Theatre! I look forward to getting to know each of you and to sharing our passion for powerful, beautiful, moving theatre.

Tyler Woods, Executive Artistic Director

Thank you for joining us for Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park’s (OSP) 41st season as we travel to ancient Greece for an epic love story, get a hilarious crash course in the complete works of Shakespeare, share laughs with Falstaff – one of Shakespeare’s best comedic characters – enjoy one of the Bard’s earliest comedies, journey to medieval England for their version of Succession, and celebrate the holidays with a clown’s take on a Christmas classic, and a Regency ball attended by beloved Jane Austen characters and the author herself!

Your support helps OSP continue to bring classical theatre to life and contributes to OKC’s vibrant art community. Thank you to our patrons and generous donors who help us continue to provide entertaining performances of the classics and modern re-imaginings, as well as educational opportunities for students across the state.

Lindsey Sparks, President of the Board

Oklahoma Shakespeare offers year-round programming from our home in the historic Paseo Arts District. Outdoor performances are staged in the 200-seat Shakespeare Gardens, with indoor performances in the 55-seat Black Box Theatre. We provide year-round educational outreach including student matinees, a Young Company Theatre Camp, study guides, tours, residencies, and through our NeverYounger program, children 12 & under are admitted free to outdoor performances.

Since 1985, Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park has led the community in classical educational outreach for students of all ages, providing numerous opportunities to study, see, and learn from the great works of dramatic literature as they were meant to be presented. . . on stage!
